Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters Priyanka and Meetu Singh have requested the Bombay High Court for an urgent hearing of their petition, reports India Today. As per the report, the sisters fear arrest by the CBI. Priyanka and Meetu had filed the petition for quashing an FIR quashing the FIR registered by Rhea Chakraborty. In the petition, they had sought an interim relief that no coercive steps are taken against them.

India Today reports that when the division bench of Justice SS Shinde and Justice MS Karni had asked about what the urgency was, the sisters’ advocate Madhav Thorat said that since there was already an FIR against them, and they are already accused in the case, the fear that they could be arrested at any time. After hearing advocate Thorat, the court asked Anil Singh, who is representing the CBI and Mumbai Police, to file their reply by Wednesday. The hearing of the petition will take place on November 4.

Rhea Chakraborty had registered an FIR against the sisters in September for forgery and giving wrongly prescribed medication to Sushant. She accused Sushant’s sisters Priyanka Singh, Meetu Singh, Dr. Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital and others, claiming that the accused prescribed drugs to Sushant without consultation. This FIR was registered by Bandra Police and was later transferred to the CBI.
