Sushant Singh Rajput's Sister Priyanka Singh's Plea Challenging FIR By Rhea Chakraborty REJECTED By Supreme Court - REPORT
The Supreme Court has rejected Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh’s plea to quash Rhea Chakraborty’s FIR against her
A few weeks ago it was reported that Bombay High Court had quashed Rhea Chakraborty’s FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Mitu Singh but the FIR against Priyanka Singh, another sister of the late actor, was not quashed. Priyanka Singh reportedly moved the Supreme Court against the FIR lodged in her name by Rhea. Now, according to the latest development, the Supreme Court has rejected the petition filed by Priyanka Singh against the Bombay High Court order which had kept alive the FIR filed against her by Rhea, reports ANI.
As per the report in ANI, a three-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde and including Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian, dismissed the petition that was filed by Priyanka Singh. CJI Bobde said, “We are dismissing the petition.” As per reports, Priyanka had claimed in her petition that the FIR by Rhea was filed to concoct a whole new story entirely different from the statements which were made by Rhea before the Supreme Court and the media platforms.
According to a report in Bar And Bench, Advocate Vikas Singh said that no illegal medicines were prescribed by the doctor to Sushant. The court however dismissed the plea.
In September last year, Rhea Chakraborty had filed a police complaint against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters and Dr. Tarun Kumar of Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. In the complaint, Rhea had reportedly alleged that they were getting psychiatric drugs for the actor without consultation and by using a forged prescription.
