Sushant Singh Rajput’s Last Film Dil Bechara Releases On July 24, Leading Trade Analyst Sums Up The MOOD Hours Before Its Big Digital Premiere - EXCLUSIVE
Here’s what a leading Trade Analyst has to say about Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara that will premiere tomorrow, ie, July 24 at 7:30 PM
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara is set to premiere from tomorrow on OTT Disney+Hotstar platform. Helmed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, Dil Bechara marks the debut of Sanjana Sanghi. Recently, Chhabra took to social media and informed all Sushant Singh Rajput fans that it will premiere tomorrow, i.e., July 24 at 7:30 PM. For the late actor’s last film, Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, Ekta Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Hansal Mehta, Rahul Dev, and others invite fans to watch Dil Bechara together.
Ahead of its release, we spoke to Film Business and Trade Analyst Girish Johar. When asked about the first rushes of the film, Girish Johar said, “Yes, I have seen the first rushes and they are very heartwarming. Be it for it is Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film or any other reason, fans are looking forward to this particular presentation. The only sad part is that it is not coming in theatres. Ideally, it should have been released in theatres and that’s the part everyone’s little off about. But times are such that everyone understands. It’s a complex scenario right now. Songs have done their trick, visuals are looking very good, and everyone is really appreciating Sushant.”
When asked about if they know anyone who has watched the film, and what their thoughts are about it, he said, “Inside people have watched the film. But watching a film is a perspective. You may or may not like a film. Hopefully, it should be good, that's what we can ask for.” Is there’s any possibility of the film having a theatrical release down the line, we asked. He said, “I really doubt that theatres will be taking it up for a theatrical release. So, after releasing it on the OTT platform, I think it would be really a difficult call for them.”
When asked about apart from Dil Bechara being a Sushant Singh Rajput’s film what kind of response the film will get for its plot. Replying to the same, Johar said, “With OTTs we have certain limitations. We usually don’t come to know what a generic audience feels. We all know OTT is a very up market phenomenon within the country. But whatever feedback I have seen, especially on social media, has been very promising.” (ALSO READ: Paranormal Expert Who Claims To Have Spoken To 'Sushant Singh Rajput's Spirit' Is Overwhelmed; Got 4 Lakh Curious Subscribers In 6 Days)
