Kangana Ranaut feels that the #MeToo allegations placed on Sushant Singh Rajput in 2018 were a trap to push him into depression; read on
Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide has opened a can of worms in the Bollywood film industry. Right from nepotism to stories about how he was replaced from several films overnight have enraged netizens. Well, the fake #MeToo accusations that were placed on Sushant in the year 2018, too, have been dug up once again. Soon after they were out, Sushant, along with proofs, had rubbished them all. Now, Kangana Ranaut, who has been speaking highly of Sushant from the last few days, has reacted to the same.
In her tweet, Kangana wrote how this is how people are isolated, go in depression and then take such a drastic step of ending their lives. "Its very easy to isolate anyone play with their mind make them depressed and then suggest suicide as a long term solution to their unbearable pain, many vulnerable minds have fallen in to this trap," replied Kangana to a tweet that read, "Remember the FALSE #metooindia campaign against Sushant Singh Rajput? He publicly admitted that the FALSE reports of sexual harassment made him feel depressed. I am sure now these "journalists" can confirm who was the source behind that smear campaign."
It was when the #MeToo movement gained momentum in Bollywood that the accusations of Sushant sexually harassing his co-star Sanjana Sanghi were across the internet. Not only Sushant, the film's director Mukesh Chhabra and Sanjana herself had also denied all such claims.

While Sushant had shared screenshots of his conversation with Sanjana happened throughout the film's shooting, Mukesh had tweeted, "I totally stand by @itsSSR - no such incident happened on the sets and let's not have a Twitter trial and make an innocent person suffer for somebody else's ulterior motives I had clarified this on twitter long back and I still maintain it."
