The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating the drugs angle related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. They have questioned several people so far, and Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi and talent manager Jaya Saha had been summoned by the agency for questioning today. They came under the scanner of the NCB after certain alleged chats between them and Rhea Chakraborty were retrieved by the Enforcement Directorate. However, Shruti Modi and Jaya Saha have been sent back as one of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) official tested positive for coronavirus.

According to a report in Times Of India, Jaya Saha and Shruti Modi have been sent back, bringing a halt to the investigation for the time being. The TOI report also stated that NCB’s deputy director KPS Malhotra confirmed this news and shared in a statement, “One of the team member of SIT has been tested positive for corona. We just received the antigen test report. In view of that other members will be tested and due protocol laid down will be followed. Accordingly, we have sent back Shruti Modi who had joined investigation today morning.”

So far, the NCB has also arrested a few people including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, and staff member Dipesh Sawant.
