Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Netizens Call It ‘Murder By Film Industry’; Slam Bollywood’s Ruthlessness After Reports Of SSR Losing 7 Films In 6 Months Emerge
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has left the nation shocked and while it is reported he died due to suicide, it also brought up debates and conversations about nepotism, favoritism, and bias in the film industry. Several Bollywood biggies are being called out for their hypocrisy not just by Netizens, but also by a few members of the film industry.  Many filmmakers indirectly spoke about the preference given to star kids over outsiders, and Karan Johar is among those being slammed. After Sushant’s death, former member of Indian Parliament, Sanjay Nirupam made a few claims that the actor lost out on 7 films in the last 6 months.

In Sanjay Nirupam’s tweet shared on June 14, he claimed that after Chhichhore’s success, Sushant had signed 7 films, however, within six months, he lost out on all 7 films. He then wrote about the ruthlessness of the film industry and how this ruthlessness ended up taking away one talented actor of the industry. Soon, people started tweeting about how it’s not suicide, but rather ‘murder by film industry.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut also lashed out at the film industry and said that it isn’t suicide, but planned murder. She said, "If you look at his last few posts, he is clearly saying, begging people to see his films, that I don't have a Godfather, I will be thrown out of this industry. Even in his interviews, he says why doesn't this industry make me its own? I feel like a leftover. So doesn't this incident have any reason?"
