Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Rhea Chakraborty Says It Is 'Preposterous' To Call Her FIR Against SSR's Sisters A Move To Avoid Arrest By NCB
As per reports, Rhea Chakraborty filed a case against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Priyanka and Meetu accusing them of 'unlawfully' procuring prescription of psychotropic drugs for their brother. Later, the sisters filed a quashing petition. In response to their petition, Rhea has now filed a 30-page long reply saying that an investigation is 'imperative' in order to find out “whether Sushant then proceeded to take the medicines thus prescribed, which may have contributed to his death or further deteriorated his mental health.”

In the quashing petition, reportedly Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters suggested that Rhea filed an FIR against them in order to avoid arrest in NCB case. However, Rhea in her response has called this accusation 'preposterous'. The Jalebi actress has also "vehemently denied allegations of acting hand-in-glove with Mumbai police or any other agency."

As reported by Times Of India, Rhea has also questioned Dr Tarun Kumar who reportedly prescribed drugs to Sushant on the request of his sister. In her reply, she has stated that Dr Tarun Kumar prescribing Psychotropic medicines "without any consultation or examination is in violation of various provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.”

“In addition, the prescription prepared by them in connivance with each other is a fabricated and false document given that the same reflects Sushant as an OPD patient when on the date and time at which the said prescription was sent, Sushant was very much in Mumbai, Maharashtra and not in New Delhi," said Rhea in her reply. Further, Rhea's reply reads, "it is imperative that the actions of Petitioners, Dr. Tarun Kumar and other known and unknown persons who conspired to prescribe Sushant, such controlled substances ought to be investigated as well," as reported by the portal. The HC has set the next hearing date in this case as November 4.
