Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and the entire gang of Stree have finally returned after six long years with the movie’s much-awaited sequel. Released on the occasion of Independence Day, the Amar Kaushik directorial has been raking in all the love from the audiences. As the movie continues to garner praise from the critics as well as the viewers, let’s take a look at the fees charged by the cast of the film.

Rajkummar Rao: Starting with the leading man of the film, Rajkummar Rao’s performance as Vicky, also tagged as the ‘saviour’ of Chanderi, in both the films, has left the audiences impressed. From his accent and body language to his facial expressions and comic timing, the 39-year-old actor is the highest-paid amongst the entire star cast. He was paid a whopping amount of Rs 6 crore to reprise his role in the sequel. Shraddha Kapoor: The leading lady of the film, Shraddha Kapoor essayed the role of a nameless woman, who arrives at Chanderi to hunt ‘Stree,’ a ghost that haunts and kidnaps the men in the village. Her performance as the helper of Vicky and his friends is loved by the viewers. For the second part of the much-loved supernatural horror-comedy universe of Maddock Films, she has charged Rs 5 crore. Pankaj Tripathi: Essaying the role of Rudra Bhaiyya, Pankaj Tripathi is one of the most beloved characters of the film. The 47-year-old actor reportedly charged Rs 3 crores to reprise his role in the sequel. 


Aparshakti Khurana: Aparshakti Khurana essayed the role of Bittu in the first installment of the film. The character was loved by the audiences as he often gave Vicky reality checks about his growing love towards the nameless woman, essayed by Kapoor. As reported by Bollywood Shaadis, the actor reportedly charged Rs 70 lakhs to return to the supernatural horror-comedy franchise.

Abhishek Banerjee: One of the most sought-after actors in the current generation of Bollywood actors, Abhishek Banerjee has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances. If reports are to be believed, he bagged a cheque of Rs 55 lakhs for his stint as Jana in the sequel.

Apart from the star cast of the film, the second installment also saw some amazing cameo appearances. While there are no reports about the amount Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia charged for their short appearances in the film, Varun Dhawan reportedly charged Rs 2 crores for his cameo.


Talking about Stree 2, produced by Maddock Films, the film is a part of the the production house’s horror-comedy universe and it marks the return of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The first film was released in 2018. The film also stars Abhishek Bannerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Raaz, and Flora Saina in pivotal roles. The upcoming film revolves around sarkate ka aatank (the terror of the headless man).
