Sridevi’s Birth Anniversary: Actress’ Mural To Be Unveiled In Bandra Today
The mural of the late actress will join the likes of Madhubala, Dev Anand and Amrish Puri on the streets of Bandra as Bollywood Art Project (BAP), famous for celebrating stalwarts of the cinema business with their art work, are all set to unveil late Sridevi's mural today
It’s late actress, Sridevi’s birthday today. Among
zillion fans, who are doing something special to remember the legend and pay
their respects to her, Bollywood Art Project (BAP) is doing their bit. For those
who are not aware, the by-lanes of Bandra are adorned with the murals of
several Bollywood superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dev Anand, Amrish Puri and
Madhubala. BAP, which works to celebrate the work of maestros from the Indian
film industry, will be unveiling Sridevi’s fresco today, to mark the special
day.
Several artists were spotted giving final touches to her
mural which includes her look from the film Gurudev (1993). The mural is part
of the renowned artist Ranjit Dahiya’s Bollywood Art Project.
Sridevi’s artwork, being helmed by Rohini Ramnathan, will
embellish walls of Chapel street in Bandra. Giving a sneak peek, they posted a
work-in-progress picture and captioned it as, "New Mural @chapelroad guess
the actress!!" Interestingly, Sridevi herself was an avid painter and
loved to paint portraits especially of Michael Jackson, as she was a huge fan
of the legendary pop singer.
A while back, we told you how daughter, Janhvi
Kapoor shared an adorable throwback picture, remembering her beloved mother. In
the photo, Janhvi is seen in Sridevi’s arms, while dad Boney Kapoor stands
behind, protectively. The actress, who passed away on February 24 in Dubai,
left her fans across the nation in grief and disbelief. The actress last
attended the marriage function of actor Mohit Marwah along with
husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor.
