Sridevi's 1st Death Anniversary: Here's The Last Advice The Actress Gave To Her Darling Daughter Janhvi
Last year, on this day we woke up to the disturbing news of legendary actress Sridevi’s untimely demise. It was quite a traumatic time and we can’t believe it’s been a year already. So, on her first death anniversary, let’s rewind to one of her last interviews in which she churned out an advice to daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

Sridevi was extremely excited for Janhvi's debut film Dhadak, and had a very important piece of advice for her darling daughter as she told her to just give her 100 per cent and work hard as it always pays off.

Speaking to India Today, Sridevi had said, “As a mother, like any mother, whether they are coming to this profession or any other, you just tell them to do the right thing. Like, do hard work, give your 100 percent, hard work always pays.”

Talking to DNA, she had mentioned, "We can't run away from that. She has to face the pressure. When she has decided to enter Bollywood, she has to go through all this. She's prepared for all that, and I am also preparing myself for it. Sometimes, it scares me. So many thoughts come and you feel why is she doing this? But then, if you feel that is her aim and happiness, as a mother, I will support her like my mom supported me. We weren't from a film background but it happened and she stood by me, fought for me and made sure I am happy. That's how I would also like to be with Janhvi".

Sadly, Sridevi passed away five months before her daughter’s big screen debut. Last night, in remembrance of her late mother, Janhvi Kapoor posted a picture with the caption, "My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it." Actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu and Sara Ali Khan also remember the icon.
