Sonu Sood Supports ‘Cancel Board Exams 2021’ Amid Growing COVID-19 Cases; Feels This Isn’t The Right Time For Offline Exams- VIDEO
Amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, a lot of people took to their social media to demand that the Board exams for Class 10 and 12 be either cancelled or rescheduled. In this situation, Sonu Sood was also of the opinion that the board exams should be cancelled as he doesn’t feel the students are ready to sit for offline exams, given the surge in Coronavirus cases. He took to his social media account to share a video, to share his views about the same.

In the video, Sonu Sood requested on behalf of the students, and said that it wasn’t the right time for offline exams. Instead, he suggested that there should be an internal assessment of students to promote them. “CBSE and board exams are going to be held offline, I do not think the students are ready to sit for the exams amid the existing circumstances,” he said. He said that it was unfair to think of holding exams at such a time. “Still, we are thinking of holding exams, which is unfair. I do not think this is the right time for offline exams. I would like everyone to come forward and support these students, so they can be safe. All the best."

Sharing the video, Sonu Sood captioned it, “I request everyone to support students who are forced to appear for offline board exams in these tough times. With the number of cases rising to 145k a day I feel there should be an internal assessment method to promote them rather than risking so many lives. #cancelboardexam2021."


Meanwhile, on World Health Day, Sonu Sood launched ‘Sanjeevani’, an initiative to bring about awareness and get people vaccinated against COVID-19. He also took a jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, and shared a picture of him getting the vaccine, on his social media. Read more about it here.
