Sonu Sood Stands In Solidarity With The Farmers; Says: ‘Kisaan Hai Toh Hum Hai’
The farmers' protest has hit the country like a hurricane. This is considered to be the biggest farmers' protest in years and the fight of the farmers is only growing stronger every day with more and more numbers continuing to join at Delhi's borders amidst the novel Coronavirus pandemic. As they continue to fight for their demands in the capital of the country, they are getting a lot of support from the entertainment industry. Now, once again, Sonu Sood who had become the Messiah of many people during the lockdown, thanks to his humanitarian acts, took to his Twitter account to stand in solidarity with the farmers.
 
Sonu had earlier written, 'Kisaan Mera bhagwaan'. Well, now, as the farmers have been protesting against the Centre's new farm laws, Sonu wrote, "Kisaan hai toh hum hai." Even his fans and followers are hailing the actor for showing his support to them. One tweeted, "Thank you sonu sir , apne hum kisano ki taraf se awaj uthai , sach main aap great hero aur real hero ho, jo hum jaise garib kisano ki halat samaj sakate ho" while another one wrote, "Sir ji tusi v to pure punjabi kissan ho sade piyare kissan de bete Thank you support kissan sir ji"
 
According to HT, the farmers are protesting against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. Reportedly, the farmers want to have Bharat Bandh on December 8, if their demands are not met.

Earlier, stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Bigg Boss 13's Himanshi Khurana, Gippy Grewal, BB14's Sara Gurpal, Sonu Sood, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor have extended their support to the 'cultivators'.
