Sonam Kapoor’s Heartbreaking Confession On Khoobsurat, "No Hero Wanted To Work With Me, So I Had To Get Fawad Khan From Pakistan"
During an interview, Sonam Kapoor revealed how difficult it was to get a hero on board for Khoobsurat
Even though she is the daughter of Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has made a good spot in the film industry by choosing some diverse films. Be it playing Neerja Bhanot in her biopic, or featuring in a same-sex love story like Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, or doing Veere Di Wedding, she has indeed proved her mettle in Bollywood. But did you know that during Khoobsurat, no hero wanted to work with Mrs. Kapoor Ahuja? The reason is not Sonam but the title of the film.
Well, during a recent interview with Filmfare, Sonam was quoted saying, "Initially, when I came in the industry, everyone said she’s born with a silver spoon. They didn’t know that I had auditioned for Saawariya (2007), Delhi 6 (2009), and every film I’ve worked in. I just was able to have the initial meeting. That was it!"
The Saawariya actress further added, “I can’t explain how difficult it was to make Aisha (2010). Do you know how much effort it took to make Khoobsurat? No hero wanted to work with me because it was called Khoobsurat. I had to get Fawad Khan from Pakistan. And look what happened! Fawad became a huge star. He had the confidence."
Sonam Kapoor recently celebrated her birthday with a huge bash with friends and family from the industry. The 34-years-old actress shared pictures and videos of her with husband Anand Ahuja as they spend their beautiful holiday in Japan.
She captioned it, “I ask myself every day… How did I get so lucky to marry my best friend in this world.” @anandahuja Anand and I didn’t get a honeymoon so this was honeymoon/anniversary/birthday trip all rolled into one. And let me tell you it was worth the wait. I had the best time of my life. Thank you my love.”
Sonam who was last seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, will be next seen in The Zoya Factor. The actress will be seen playing the character of Zoya Solanki, the girl who becomes a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The film is a romantic drama starring Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles. The Zoya Factor is slated to release on September 20, 2019.
