Sonam Kapoor is one actress who is bold and outspoken. Be it on social media or otherwise, Sonam never refrains from speaking her heart out.

And this time, the actress has expressed strong views about a controversial statement made by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. And what’s that? Well, the ‘spiritual’ leader’s comments on homosexuality haven’t gone down well with the actress. Recently, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, at the 13th Memorial Lecture at JNU, made a statement saying, “Being homosexual is a tendency and not permanent.”

“You don’t think you are sick or something is wrong with you,” he said. “If you stand up, nobody can insult you, but...if you feel bad about yourself, nobody can make you feel better,” he further said. “This is your tendency now...know that this tendency is not a permanent thing. It may change. I’ve seen many men who were gay later turn into heterosexuals, and there are those who are normal, who are called straight people, end up being gay later in life,” he concluded.

 And this has left Sonam Kapoor enraged. She took to Twitter quoting the self-proclaimed godman saying, “get with the program!!! (sic)”. 


 Following Sonam, Alia too took to the micro-blogging site to share a similar opinion where she tweeted, “OMG kinda moment! (sic)”.


On the work front, Sonam Kapoor has just wrapped up the shoot schedule of Veere Di Wedding, one of the most anticipated films of 2018.

After wrapping up the shoot schedule of Raazi, Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, has recently started working on Brahmastra, which will also star Ranbir Kapoor.
