Sonal Sehgal's Hot & Wild Lovemaking Scene in Mantostaan Gets Toned Down
Mantostaan still awaits certification as the Censor Board has asked the film's producer to dilute Sonal Sehgal's lovemaking scene along with a few cuss words that have been thrown in another portion
Mantostaan, directed by Rahat Kazmi and starring Sonal Sehgal and Raghubir Yadav, had run into big trouble. The Censor Board was all set to file a FIR against the film's producers- Rahat Kazmi Films, Tariq Khan Films, Aaditya Pratap Singh Entertainment, the digital operator Real Image and the exhibitor Cinepolis Fun Republic. Reason- Raahat had a special screening of the film at Cinepolis Fun Republic (Andheri) on Thursday April 20, without having a Censor Certificate.
Now, the film's lovemaking scene involving Sonal Sehgal and Shohaib in the story Thanda Ghost (Mantostaan has 4 stories) has been trimmed and toned down.
"We are going with a symbolic scene of intimacy," confirmed Rahat, while speaking to SpotboyE.com a few minutes ago.
Added Rahat, "We have also replaced the cuss words which Army men lash out at each on the border in one of the scenes. Instead, we will now have a simple outburst."
The Censor Certificate will be granted to Rahat on Tuesday after the Board ensures that all their suggested changes have been implemented.
And what about the Censors' objection against their illegal Fun Republic screening, we asked? Said Rahat, "Look, we have given a letter of apology. The matter is resolved now."
SpotboyE.com has it that all the errant parties in question apologised and promised that they will be careful in future.
So that's that! Mantostaan hits theatres on May 5.
