Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are all set to tie the knot on June 23, 2024. They are reportedly going to have an intimate registered marriage after which they will be hosting a wedding reception/party for their close friends and colleagues from the film industry. The celebrations of the wedding kicked off last week when their families came together, dismissing rumours about the Sinha family being unhappy with their daughter’s wedding. Ahead of the special day, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha hosted a puja for the actress.
Videos of the same are currently going viral on social media leaving the netizens buzzing with excitement. Dressed in a navy blue salwar suit, Sonakshi was seen posing for the paps, before following her mother and entering the house. Not only did the actress’ Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar co-star Manisha Koirala sent gifts for the happy couple, but their friends Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem were also seen arriving at Ramayana, the Sinha’s house, for the pooja ceremony. Before officially announcing their wedding, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding invitation for their friends had gotten leaked on social media. Styled as a magazine cover, the invite has certainly left the netizens excited. They invite their guests to celebrate their special day at Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant Bastian at the top in Mumbai. The invite also mentions that the guests have to follow a formal and festive dress code, adding that they should avoid wearing red. If media reports are to be believed, Sonakshi and Zaheer met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. They fell in love while working together in Double XL and kept their relationship low profile. It is to be noted, that the actress made her Bollywood debut with Khan’s film Dabangg (2010) and Zaheer made his debut with Notebook (2019), a film which was produced by Salman Khan.
