Sonakshi Sinha Supports Akshay Kumar After He Receives Twitter Fury Over His, Don't Like Heroines Who Look Like ‘Chusa Hua Aam’ Comment
Soon after Akshay Kumar faced the wrath of social media for his comment, “I like heroines who are hari bhari, chusa hua aam na lagey,” from a 7-year-old interview was dug up. Very recently when Sonakshi was asked about the same she said, trolls have nothing better to do in life
Twitterati dug up a 7-year-old interview of Akshay Kumar, where he was seen defending his Rowdy Rathore co-star Sonakshi Sinha from being body shamed. It was during his old interview when the actor was quoted saying, “I like heroines who are hari bhari, chusa hua aam na lagey.” Soon after his statement was put on social media, he had to face the wrath of neitzens. The user found his comment ‘misogynistic’ and ‘objectification’ of a woman.
Now, during a recent interview, when Sonakshi was asked about the same, she said trolls have nothing better to do in life. She went on to add that she even faced body shaming even after losing 30 kilos and what Akshay had said during that interview was probably in response to something on the same lines.
She told Hindustan Times, “They also have to understand that I have a great friendship and working equation with him, so he was talking about a friend and not a random person. If anything, he was being a gentleman and defending me with no intention of “objectifying” anyone. And if I, the person being referred to, has absolutely no problem with what was said, I don’t think anyone else should either. People need to start utilising their time better rather than digging up stupid things and making an issue of it.”
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of Housefull 4 which co-stars the ensemble cast of Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Riteish Deshmukh and Pooja Hedge. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali, setting up a clash with Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China.
