Sonakshi Sinha’s Khandaani Shafakhana Slapped With a Legal Notice
Director, Amitabh Parashar has sent a legal notice to T-series accusing them of stealing his idea for its upcoming film, Khandaani Shafakhana starring Sonakshi Sinha and Anu Kapoor
Journalist-turned-director, Amitabh
Parashar has accused T-series of stealing the idea of his script for their new
movie, Khandaani Shafakhana and sent a legal notice to them. The movie will
have Sonakshi Sinha and Anu Kapoor in the lead role.
In his legal notice, Parashar has mentioned that he got
in touch with T-series last year regarding his idea of a film based on roadside
sex shops and mailed a soft copy of the script to which he received an
acknowledgement too. However, Bhushan Kumar of T-series told PTI "It's
totally false as what film we are making is totally different. No similarity at
all. I don't know how and why, without knowing our film, he is claiming that."
Parashar claims that he helmed the idea to make a comedy
film, titled Bhag Mohabbat, based on the life of roadside sex doctors, after
his feature-length documentary Death of a Sex Doctor that he made after an
extensive, four-year research on local sex shops.
According to Parashar, he met T-series' Mukesh Desai to
discuss the subject and was sent to meet Anjali Bhushan of the same company and
narrated the story in brief to her too. After the meeting, Parashar hoped to
direct the film on his story and had pitched the name of Ayushmann Khuranna for
it.
Currently, Sonakshi is all set to make it to the big
screen in her upcoming film Kalank and we have to tell you that she looks quite
promising in her first glimpse as Satya.
