Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have finally tied the knot on June 23, 2024, years after speculation surrounding their relationship. The happy couple opted for a registered marriage in the presence of their family members. Photos from the beautiful ceremony are currently going viral on social media leaving the netizens in awe. Well, according to a report by Bollywood Shaadis, the gorgeous bride opted to wear her mother Poonam Sinha’s old wedding saree and necklace.
Yes, you read it right! Sonakshi stunned in an exquisite cream-coloured saree with floral embroidery and paired it with a simple striped blouse. She completed her look by wearing a pearl-drop and gemstone necklace, matching earrings, and golden bangles. Having tied her hair in a bun, the bun was surrounded by white roses. As per the report by the entertainment portal, the saree and the jewellery that the 37-year-old actress wore for the ceremony belong to her mother. For those who don't know, the saree was worn by Poonam when she tied the knot with Shatrughan Sinha. She had paired the saree with a pink chunni back in the day. Sharing the photos from the ceremony, the Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actress penned a heartfelt note. She wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. If media reports are to be believed, Sonakshi and Zaheer met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. They fell in love while working together in Double XL and kept their relationship low profile. It is to be noted, that the actress made her Bollywood debut with Khan’s film Dabangg (2010) and Zaheer made his debut with Notebook (2019), a film which was produced by Salman Khan.
