Sonakshi Sinha announces Noor’s release date

Sonakshi Sinha, who plays the central character in Sunhil Sippy’s Noor, has announced the film’s release date. The actress took to social media to make the announcement:

The crime-comedy-thriller is based on Pakistani scribe-writer Saba Imtiaz's 2014 novel, Karachi You're Killing Me. Sona plays a journalist in the film, which also stars Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli. The story revolves around Noor’s love life and misadventures as she tries to find a foothold in Mumbai.

SpotboyE.com had told you about Sonakshi toying with the idea of singing a song in Noor.

As per to a source close to the actress, “Sonakshi has however yet to talk to the director Sunhil Sippy about her desire. She received a great response for the song Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai and now she also wants to sing for Noor as she feels her voice will bring out the right emotions of the character.”

Meanwhile, Sonakshi is these days busy with A.R. Murugadoss’s Akira, which has her playing the title role. The film, also starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles, will see the actress sharing screenspace with her father Shatrughan Sinha for the first time. Akira is a remake of the Tamil hit Mouna Guru (2011).
