Sona Mohapatra Was 'Heartbroken' To See Hubby Ram Sampath Being Targeted By ‘Illiterate Self-Important' Gang; Says It 'Took Him 2 Years To Recover'
Only yesterday, music maestro AR Rahman, in an interview with Radio Mirchi, had opened a can of worms. He alleged that a certain gang is working against him and are trying their best to not get him to work in the film industry. Now, Sona Mohapatra has made some similar claims about her music composer husband, Ram Sampath. In response to AR Rahman's interview, Sona revealed how Ram went through hell for around two years and she was heartbroken to see him in such a condition. Further, Sona alleged the 'illiterate self-important' gang as the reason behind her husband's sufferings.

Sona accused the above-mentioned gang of targeting all the genuine, classy, dignified and talented creative professionals. She says Shah Rukh Khan's Raees was his last project and it took him two years to recover. "This ‘illiterate self-important’ gang works against any genuine, classy, dignified, talented creative professional. Felt heartbroken seeing Ram Sampath go through hell, worse, finally, plug out of this toxic biotope 3 years ago. The final straw was #Raees. Took him 2yrs to recover post," wrote the singer.

For the unversed, Ram Sampath has composed music for several Bollywood films like Khakee, Talaash, Delhi Belly, Fukrey and Boothnath Returns among others.

In other news, AR Rahman was quoted as saying, "Talking about composing music for Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film Dil Bechara, he said, “When Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days. He told me, ‘Sir, how many people said don’t go, don’t go to him (AR Rahman) and they told me stories after stories.’ I heard that, and I realised, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm.”
