Simmba Producer Apoorva Mehta Appreciates Google And Microsoft's Efforts To Raise Funds For India's COVID Crisis
Just recently, Google and Microsoft’s CEO shared that they will be extending help and will raise funds for India’s COVID-19 crisis while Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba producer Apoorva Mehta appreciates their efforts and gesture
The medical staff, resources and humans are falling apart as the COVID-19 pandemic is breaking everything brick by brick in India. The country is currently at its worst with cases only rising and resources like oxygen cylinders, vaccines, plasma, hospital beds, etc are falling short. However, many organisations and stars of the entertainment industry are coming forward to spread awareness about all the relevant information on their social media account amidst the chaos. Just now, actors like Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi and more are doing their best way to share important messages.
Now, just recently, the CEOs of Google and Microsoft who are of Indian descent shared they will be extending help and will raise funds for India’s COVID-19 crisis while Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba producer Apoorva Mehta appreciates their efforts and gesture. Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai took to his Twitter handle and shared that they have raised around Rs.135 crore to Give India and UNICEF. Pichai wrote, “Devastated to see the worsening Covid crisis in India. Google & Googlers are providing Rs 135 Crore in funding to @GiveIndia, @UNICEF for medical supplies, orgs supporting high-risk communities, and grants to help spread critical information.” Following the same, Microsoft CEO Satya Nandella is heartbroken and has also extended support to the country.
His tweet read, “I am heartbroken by the current situation in India. I’m grateful the U.S. government is mobilizing to help. Microsoft will continue to use its voice, resources, and technology to aid relief efforts, and support the purchase of critical oxygen concentration devices.”
