Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer Shershaah, based on Captain Vikram Batra was released last month on Amazon Prime Video, and it was well-received by the audiences. Much to everyone's surprise, Shershaah has now landed in trouble for using a car number plate belonging to someone else. Yes, you read that right!

Faraz Ashraf, a Kashmiri journalist is taking Bollywood's Dharma Productions to court as he claims the film company has put his life in danger by using his vehicle's number plate on a car depicted as that of "terrorists" in the movie. He shared pictures of his car on Twitter.

Ashraf tweeted, "Since inception Bollywood has only produced propaganda movies against Kashmir, where till now they were showing Kashmiris collectively as terrorists but this time they have gone too far in attacking me and my family." In another tweet, he wrote, "In the movie, "Shershaah" produced by @DharmaMovies @karanjohar have used my personal car registration number on the car which is being used by militants in the movie. @OmarAbdullah @AakashHassna @AzaanJavaid @Gaamuk." Adding to that, he tweeted, "Advocate @shamsubaid15 will be legally handling this case. It's a request to media friends to highlight this issue. We will soon address a press conference also." He also mentioned that he feels unsafe travelling in that car as people might take him in a negative light. Ashraf also added that he will take legal action against the production house and would urge the court to stop the broadcast of the movie Shershaah in the entire country.

Talking about the movie, Sidharth essayed the role of Captain Vikram Batra, and Kiara Advani played the role of his girlfriend Dimple Cheema in the war drama.
