Uttar Pradesh Police recovered Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fake passport amongst many other things from three fraudsters in Greater Noida
Being a celebrity always comes with a price. Their identities are often used to carry out fraud and scams. On Friday evening, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested three foreign perpetrators for scamming a retired Army colonel. They had defrauded him of Rs 1.81 crore. According to the UP police, two of them belong to Nigeria and one belongs to Ghana.
As reported by India.com, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fake passport too has been recovered from the accused in Greater Noida. According to the police statement, her picture was on the passport. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, Abhishek Verma in his statement said that during the arrest, the police found USD 3,000 and 10,500 pounds in their possession. ALSO READ: THROWBACK! They have also seized fake Indian currency worth over Rs 10.76 crore along with dozens of bundles of fake British pounds and US dollars from the residency of the three individuals during the arrest. Verma went on to reveal that 11 SIM cards, 6 mobile phones, laptops, printers, along with devices used by the three to print fake currencies have also been reportedly seized by the police.
