Sharman Joshi: I Will Call Up Rohit Shetty And Ask If He Can Cast Me In Golmaal 5
Bollywood director Rohit Shetty announced the fifth part of the Golmaal franchise in the song  Aankh Marey from Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba. As in the song video, the four main actors, including Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor, are seen at the end of the holding up their hands to denote the number 5. Speculation is rife that Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor have also shown interest to be back in this part. And now another actor whom we saw in Part 1 of Golmaal is keen to join.

We are talking about Sharman Joshi who essayed the character of  Laxman in Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, and got nominated for the Best Performance In A Comic role in Filmfare Awards. But Sharman was replaced in the second part, Golmaal Returns, by Shreyas Talpade while the rest of three main leads, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor were retained.

At that time there were reports that Sharman Joshi had asked for a fee hike and when the deal didn't materialise, he made an exit. It was also said that the reason for the pay hike asked by Sharman was because of his back-to-back success in films like Golmaal - Fun Unlimited, Dhol and Life In A Metro, among few others. Post his exit from the Golmaal series, Sharman went on to star as one of the leads in one of the biggest blockbusters of all time--- 3 Idiots.

However, talking to Bollywood Hungama, last year, Sharman made some shocking revelations on the matter, "They threw me out. I think second part mein kuch negotiations mein, mere manager aur producers ki kuch gadbad ho gayi.  Hence, I couldn't be a part of it. But if they'll offer the same to me again, I'll possibly rejoin the team. My manager was negotiating. I think some egos got ruffled and it came down to me not doing the film."

But it seems Sharman has not given up on returning to the successful franchise of Golmaal. While talking to SpotboyE.com exclusively a few days back, Sharman mentioned that Golmaal is the one film he would like to associate himself again with. "If they are making it anytime soon I will call up to Rohit Shetty and see if he can cast me". When asked if the previous matter has been sorted out amongst the two. Sharman said, " I don't know. That I have to call him and check. Will ask Rohit if he is making the next part; I would love to do it. If he chooses to take me, I will be very happy to be part of it".

As of now, Sharman Joshi is all set for his digital debut with Alt Balaji's web series Baarish along side Asha Negi. The series is a romantic tale which will see the couple fight all odds – family’s opposition, status difference to find solace in each other. And as the title suggests, rain will play an important part in getting the starstruck lovers together.
