Sharman Joshi Birthday: Here’s Why The Actor Was REPLACED In Rohit Shetty’s Super-Hit Golmaal Franchise
Sharman Joshi, who celebrates his 41st birthday today, is among one of the most underrated actors that Bollywood has produced. In his career so far, Sharman has been a part of some of the most iconic films like 3 Idiots, Rang De Basanti and Style among others. And how can we forget the epic Golmaal - Fun Unlimited, the first film of Rohit Shetty’s super-hit comedy franchise? The film saw Sharman as an innocent Laxman alongside the likes of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor. And with his impressive performance in the film, fans were expecting to see more of Sharman in the rest of Golmaal franchises but that never happened.

Well, it was being assumed that Sharman asked for a hike in his fees; however, the makers weren’t ok and replaced him Shreyash Talpade. In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sharman Joshi had spilt the beans on why he wasn’t seen in the rest of Golmaal films. Sharma stated, “My manager was negotiating. I think some egos are being ruffled and it came down to me not doing the film. Before that happened, I actually made a request that would still want to be a part of the film.”

Elaborating further, Sharman added, “I said negotiations happen…he (Sharman’s manager) was trying his best as a manager for me. He was trying to negotiate the best that he could. But I said it doesn’t need to come down to this. But I guess by then it was already too late, they had to go ahead with the choice they had made which I understand and respect.”

That’s unfortunate! Well, we would still love to see Sharman getting retained in the popular comedy series. Here’s wishing the powerhouse performer a very happy birthday!
