Shahid Describes How Insomnia Affects His Life

Vikas Bahl's romantic comedy, Shandaar starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, will soon have another classic added to its soundtrack.

Bahl has assigned his company Phantom Films’ pet composer Mikey McCleary to jazz up the Hemant Kumar-Lata Mangeshkar song Neend Na Mujhko Aaye from the 1958 film Post Box No 999.

A source close to the film says, "Shahid and Alia are battling insomnia in the film. Drawing a leaf out of that, Vikas has asked Mikey to work on Neend Na Mujhko Aaye."

Mikey has also done a fresh take on the Kishore Kumar-Asha Bhosle song Eena Meena Deeka from the film Aasha (1957), composed by C Ramachandra, for the same film (SpotboyE.com, April 24).

Mikey's version for the Aasha number will have only a female voice.

On the other hand, his version for the Post Box 999 number is likely to have only a male voice. Buzz is, it may be picturised on Shahid only and not Shahid and Alia both. However, a final call on that is yet to be taken.

Clearly, Bahl likes old classics to be remixed.

Shaandar is slated to hit the theatres on September 14, 2015.
