Shah Rukh Khan Says He Misses Hugging CM Mamta Banerjee As He Attends Kolkata Film Festival 2021 Inauguration Via Video Call
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has a special corner for the city Kolkata in his heart. Why do we say so? Well, the superstar doesn't only own the IPL team of Kolkata Knight Riders but is also the brand ambassador of Bengal. Earlier today, the 26th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival was inaugurated in the presence of several prominent faces from the Bengali film industry and West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee. SRK couldn't fly to the city in the wake of the ongoing pandemic but he made it a point to mark his presence through a video call.

During the same, the Fan actor greeted Mamta Banerjee and had a very sweet message for her. King Khan said how he is missing hugging the CM this year. "Nomoskar Shak Rukh, bhalo acho toh?," said Mamta Banerjee while greeting SRK. The actor responded saying, "Haan ami bhalo achi, ekdum accha." He then apologised for not being able to physically grace the event. The actor has been attending the same from the year 2011.

Shah Rukh Khan then said, "Mera bohat dil kar raha hai ki main wahan par hota. But all I can say from here is that I love you all and I miss Bengal. Mamata di, I miss you and miss hugging you. Inshallah when I come next time jo bohat hi jald hoga, do-chaar extra hugs le lunga aapse."

On the work front, SRK is breaking his sabbatical of two years with YRF's Pathan, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is being said that the film will also have Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in a special appearance. Excited much? We definitely are!
