Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades Co-Actor Kishori Ballal Passes Away In Bengaluru
Kannada actress Kishori Ballal, known for her role as Kaveriamma in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swades has passed away. She was reportedly suffering from age-related illnesses and breathed her last in Bengaluru
Senior Kannada actress Kishori Ballal breathed her last today (February 18) in a hospital in Bengaluru. She was known for playing the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s guardian Kaveriamma in the 2004 film Swades. According to Mid-Day, the actress was suffering from age-related illnesses and passed away in a Bengaluru hospital.
Mourning the demise of Kishori Ballal, Swades director Ashutosh Govariker took to his social media and grieved the loss. He tweeted, “HEARTBROKEN! Terribly sad about the passing away of #KishoriBallal ji!! Kishori ji... you will be remembered for your generously kind, warm and affable persona! And your unforgettable performance as #Kaveriamma in #Swades !! You will surely be missed!!”
Kishori Ballal made her debut in the Kannada cinema with the film Evalentha Hendthi in 1960. She had a career span of over 15 years and had worked with some of the finest directors and actors in the industry. Other films she has acted in, include Kahi, Hani Hani, Suryakanthi, Carry On Maratha, Aiyyaa, Lafangey Parindey, and many others.
