Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB on October 3, and was later granted bail on October 28, 2021, by the Bombay High Court.
In the month of October witness, Prabhakar Sail had claimed he had heard NCB witness K P Gosavi having a discussion with Sam D'Souza over a phone call of a pay-off deal of Rs 25 crore, following Aryan Khan’s arrest by NCB. This led to Special Investigation Team opening an investigation against NCB officials for the alleged extortion. On October 15, 2021, D'Souza along with his lawyer Pankaj Jadhav arrived at SIT's office at 12.45 pm to give his statement, as per a police official. As per further reports, Sunil Patil, Prabhakar Sail and Gosavi were termed as fraud, with Gosavi taking Rs. 50 lakh from the actor’s manager.
