Shah Rukh Khan’s Daughter Suhana Khan Says ‘End Colourism’, Shares Screenshots Of Trolls Attacking Her; Ibrahim Ali Khan, Aaliyah Kashyap Show Their Support
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khana made her Instagram profile public a few months ago, and her fans were thrilled. However, having a public profile comes with its own pros and cons. While that means fans shower Suhana with love and praise on each of her post, she is also subjected to online trolling. Now, Suhana has addressed the trolls who have been attacking her online by commenting on her skin tone. She wrote a lengthy note on social media about the same and said she has been told she was ugly because of her skin tone right from the age of 12.

Suhana Khan shared a gorgeous picture of herself first, and then shared a series of screenshots of hate comments and trolls calling her ‘kaali’. Before sharing the screenshots, she explained, “For all the people who don't speak Hindi, I just thought I'd give a bit of context. The word for the colour black in Hindi is 'Kaala'. The word 'kaali' is used to describe a female who is dark-skinned. And it almost never has positive connotations." She then wrote a long caption wherein she wrote how colorism is one of the many issues that needed to be fixed. “this isn't just about me, it's about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason. Here are just a few of the comments made about my appearance. I've been told I'm ugly because of my skin tone, by full grown men and women, since I was 12 years old.”

Suhana Khan then added that as Indians, we are all brown, and that hating on your own people simply means that one is painfully insecure. “I'm sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you're not 5"7 and fair you're not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I'm 5"3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too. #endcolourism,” she wrote. Take a look at Suhana Khan’s Instagram post below:

Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, as well as Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap dropped lovely comments and showed their support to Suhana. Ibrahim left hi-five emojis, while Aaliyah dropped several heart emojis.
