Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan often makes headlines for his down-to-earth personality and interaction with his fans as well as world leaders and dignitaries.  His name started surfacing on the internet on Tuesday when BJP leader Subramanian Swamy claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi pleaded with SRK for his intervention so that the Qatar Government would release the eight Indian naval officers in their custody. Well, as soon as the tweet went viral, netizens hailed him as the ‘soft power in India.’ Now, the actor’s manager Pooja Dadlani has issued a statement denying the BJP leader’s claims.

The 58-year-old actor’s manager Pooja Dadlani took to her official X handle and issued a statement that denied his involvement in the matter. She posted the statement with a caption, “From the office of Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.” The statement further read that the “execution of this successful resolution solely rests with Indian Government officials.” Denying SRK’s involvement in the matter, it is stated that he just like many other Indians is happy. Well, it is safe to say that the clarification left the netizens puzzled as Shah Rukh’s team never issued a statement about any controversy or rumour surrounding the actor. Many hailed him for his humble nature and stated that the actor never seeks credit for anything. For the unversed, days before Swamy’s tweet went viral, the Jawan actor visited Doha to attend the AFC Final as a special guest of honour. Photos of him greeting the Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani went viral on social media leaving his fans ecstatic. The tweet was published by the 84-year-old politician after PM Modi tweeted about his visit to UAE to deepen India’s bilateral relations with the Arab nations. 

On the work front, after his movie Zero (2018) failed to do good business at the box office, the actor took a break. He went on to do cameo roles in movies like Lal Singh Chaddha, Brahmastra and The Nambi Effect. He returned to the big screens with a bang in 2023 with blockbuster movies like Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. The actor is yet to announce his next project.
