SAVE WATER: Farhan Akhtar Follows Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan’s Footsteps

Bollywood celebrities and social causes go hand-in-hand. We have seen a lot of celebrities endorsing social initiatives. Be it Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, or for that matter any other star- celebs have their ways of contributing to the society.

Farhan Akhtar is the latest one to join the list. As we know Aamir Khan has been advocating water conservation since a long time, he also launched the 2nd season of the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup in January 2017. And now Farhan Akhtar has decided to take up the cause as well.

Well yes, Farhan is the face of a water conservation campaign initiated by the National Geographic channel.

In 2013, Farhan Akhtar launched a social initiative- MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) to raise social awareness against rape and discrimination of women. This time round, he has decided to support another burning cause related to water conservation.

SpotboyE.com has learnt that Farhan Akhtar will shoot for the campaign’s promo tomorrow at Mehboob studio, Mumbai.

In the past, Farhan has also organized rock concerts for social cause. He often tours cities and performs at various universities and college campuses to make the youth aware of his initiative-MARD. The rock concerts are an ideal blend of entertainment mixed with a social message, wherein Farhan puts his point across through his engaging and foot-tapping music.

Well, but that’s not the only reason Farhan has got our attention. This morning he posted a tweet where he wrote, “Songs that use lewd lyrics are #NotMusicToMyEars and I commit to making sure they're not part of the movies I make.”

We don’t know what irked the talented actor to post this message and who is he hinting at but it’s quite clear Farhan is quite picky with his taste of music.
