Saroj Khan Biopic: Remo D’Souza Keen To Chronicle Masterji's Life And Times On Celluloid
Bollywood’s ace choreographer Saroj Khan bid a final goodbye to the world after being ill for the last few days on July 3, 2020. The news of the veteran choreographer breathing her last was confirmed by her daughter Sukaina. Now in a conversation with Navbharat Times, the late choreographer’s daughter Sukaina revealed about choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza willing to make a biopic on her mother. The entire concept of making a biopic on Saroj Khan began when Kalank was being shot and Remo's last discussion on the same took place before the lockdown.

Sukaina also revealed before Remo D’Souza, filmmaker Kunal Kohli and choreographer turned director Baba Yadav’s wife too had expressed their keen interest in shooting a biopic based on the life of Saroj, but when Sukaina had asked her mother whom would she like to make a biopic on her, she had picked Remo. Reasoning behind picking Remo was that he too, like the late choreographer, had begun from ground zero and had come a long way. Remo was planning to showcase the life of the late choreographer from the age of 3 till 71 on the silverscreen.

However, when the filmmaker was contacted post Saroj Khan’s death about the same he politely refused to talk about it.

Over her career spanning 40 years, Saroj Khan has worked on more than 2000 songs, which saw some of the best dancers in Bollywood such as Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Hrithik Roshan and many grooving on her choreographed steps.

She was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital on June 17, 2020 after she complained of breathlessness and breathed her last on July 3, 2020.  ALSO READ: Saroj Khan Demise: Daughter Sukaina Reveals Late Choreographer Was Cremated With Her Own Money; Says, 'Woh Bahut Khuddar Thi'
