Sara Ali Khan On Being A Star Kid, 'People Are Waiting For Us To Make A Mistake'
During a recently held event, Sara Ali Khan said that she knows that people are waiting for star kids to make a mistake or fall. She added that she doesn’t take the tag seriously.
There’s no denying that star kids are always under the
scanner. The attention they receive and the scrutiny they face is beyond
imaginable. Since Saif Ali Khan and
Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan made her debut with Abhishek Kapur’s
Kedarnath, the budding actress has been snapped every time she steps out of her
house. She is two-films-old in the industry and is taking giant leaps on the
work front. Her films, Simmba and Kedarnath released within a span of 3 months
and all eyes are set on her other projects like the Love Aajkal reboot
tentatively titled Aajkal and Coolie No. 1.
Sara is carrying her
grandmother Sharmila Tagore, mother Amrita Singh, father Saif Ali Khan's legacy
forward and feels that people are waiting for a star kid to make a mistake and
she’s aware of it. But she doesn’t take it seriously. During a recently held
event, Sara said, “With any form of privilege, there is a setback to it. You
are as burdened as you want to be, and you take as much pressure as you want
to. I am acutely aware that I come from a film background and, therefore, the
scrutiny and attention I receive is more than it would have been otherwise. But
I don’t look at it as a burden, because if I do, then I won’t be able to
perform.” (ALSO READ: Kartik Aaryan Reacts To His Break-Up Rumours With Sara Ali Khan; Says, ‘Maine Bhi Padha Hai’)
She then added, “Star children do get it easy, but it also
comes with scrutiny and there are a lot of people who are waiting for a star
kid to make a mistake or fall. I am aware of that. But I don’t take all that
seriously.”
