Sara Ali Khan Lends Her Support For A good Cause; Shall Support HIV Affected Families For FanKind

After many Bollywood celebs were seen lending their support to Anshula Kapoor’s online fundraising platform, Sara Ali Khan has now joined the league. The Simmba actress joining hands with Anshula’s FanKind initiative shall raise funds for HIV affected individuals and their families by donating to Committed Communities Development Trust

The Simmba actress Sara Ali Khan has joined hands with Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor. Lending her support to raise funds for families and children affected with HIV. The funds raised by the actress will be donated to Committed Communities Development Trust that works towards providing care and support for the individuals and families affected by AIDS/HIV. Anshula’s online fundraising platform Fankind, will then randomly select one winner and participant, who has donated for the cause. The winner will be up for an exciting surprise and will also get to meet Sara.

Elaborating more on the work CCDT does for the ones affected with HIV, Sara mentioned the organization providing shelter and educating people about it, helping families who are going through distress after any one of them is detected positive of this virus. As stated in a report published in The Digital Hash, she said, “I’m grateful to CCDT for the wonderful work that they do by supporting children and families that are affected by HIV. Mentioning further she also shed light on how the organization has been helping people to reduce the stigma and trauma of the people suffer through after being detected or being surrounded by people detected with it. 

“Since in today’s day and age, social stigma and emotional trauma are as important issues to address for families as actually supporting those that are affected by HIV. Over the years, CCDT has been working towards reducing stigma and discrimination and ensuring that people have access to treatment, information and prevention services,” she added further. On the concluding note thanking Anshula’s initiative, she said, “Thank you Fankind for giving me this amazing opportunity to play a part in giving back to society; I urge you guys to help me support this noble cause.”
