Sanjay Leela Bhansali On Reuniting With 'Dear Friend' Salman Khan: 'I Have Changed And He Has Also Changed'
Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are two of the most loved stars in the industry. A visionary director and a Superstar who have worked together in ‘Khamsohi’ and musical romantic drama ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ decided to reunite again after two decades with ‘Inshallah’, but the film was eventually shelved due to the creative differences between the two. Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali opened up on the possibility of working with Superstar Salman Khan again.


In an interview with BollywoodHungama, when questioned SLB whether he and Salman will work together again on a new project, he said that he has left the decision on Khan. He shared that he wanted to work with him after Padmaavat and had put his best foot forward but things didn’t turn out the way he expected.
 He was quoted saying, “Salman is a very dear friend, and I wanted to work with him after Padmaavat. I put my best feet forward to make it happen. For whatever reasons, it didn't turn out. The ‘Goliyon ki Rasleela –Ram Leela’ director also recalled the time when Salman stood by his side and showed gratitude towards him. Sanjay said," I have utmost regard and respect for the person who did Khamoshi for me, who did Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam for me, and who stood by in Saawariya. So he has been a very very important part of who I am today and I will always respect him for it. The ball is in his court to decide if he wants to work with me, and if it's god willing inshallah agar hona hai to hoga”


The ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ director also shared how he and Alia were heartbroken when their film Inshallah was shelved and they lost the opportunity to work with Salman again as he was the first choice of the film.

Well, not only Sanjay, but we also wish and hope to see both of them together!
