Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has impressed the audience with his versatile acting chops for decades now. May it be his anti-hero Khalnayak, chill Munnabhai or the terrifying Kancha Cheena, the actor knows how to leave the audience speechless with his presence. It was reported a few days ago that he, who is currently making the headlines for his larger-than–life villain roles in South movies, will be the villain of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal’s Hera Pheri 4.
In a recent interaction, Dutt spoke about his making his return as a villain in his upcoming projects, calling it one of the best phases of his career. While he didn’t shed much light on his upcoming projects, he stressed on the fact that the current period for an actor is very interesting as they get to try their hands on roles from every corner of the world. He told ETimes that blockbuster movies like KFG and RRR are breaking the Bollywood and South barrier. He said, “This is such an interesting period as an actor, where we get all sorts of roles from every corner of the country. The good thing is that the language barrier has disappeared now. With films like KGF and RRR, movies are simply movies now. I am excited about the kind of parts that are being written for me. This is the most fun I have had in my career and I am relishing it.” ALSO READ: OMG! The 63-year-old actor went on to share that every villain that he has played in his movies are different from each other. He said, “These roles are completely different from each other. The characters are written to suit the story. Just because I have played a villain in a certain way in one film doesn’t mean that I am going to play it the same way in the other. It’s my job as an actor to make each role different. Whether I play the hero or the anti-hero, I should do justice to my character. After 40 years in the industry, I am still hungry for good work and interesting roles.”
On the work front, last seen as Adhira in KGF: Chapter 2, the actor has movies like Leo opposite Vijay, KD – The Devil and an untitled project alongside Arshad Warsi.
