Sanjay Dutt biopic won’t show his affair with Madhuri Dixit
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... The film will refer to his first wife Richa Sharma and current wife Manyata
It’s been nailed. The script for the Sanjay Dutt biopic which Rajkumar Hirani will direct, after several rewrites has so excited its lead player, Ranbir Kapoor, that it will be the next project that he will immerse himself in the new year.
The talk about Ranbir green-lighting the next Imtiaz Ali project, after Tamasha, in the event remains iffy.
According to insiders, the Dutt biopic will not refer to the much beleaguered actor’s liaisons with Madhuri Dixit, Kimi Katkar or Sushmita Sen whom he was briefly fascinated by, according to rumours, which circulated soon after she was crowned Miss Universe.
The biopic will have two heroines – still to be finalised. One of the heroines will be an amalgamation of Sanjay Dutt’s former girlfriend, Tina Munim, and his first wife, the late actress Richa Sharma.
The other heroine will have shades of his current wife, Manyata Dutt.
There is a surprise element in the script, too. A pivotal supporting character has been modelled on one of Dutt’s long-time buddies, who is now a doctor settled overseas.
According to a source, the script is Rajkumar Hirani’s career-best, and is generally being described as “kickass” and “brutally honestly and emotional.”
Now that’s excellent news for Dutt, who is expected to be released from Yerawada jail in March 2016.
