Sana Saeed On Being Unable To Attend Father's Last Rites Due To Coronavirus Lockdown; 'Will Never Get Closure'
March 22, 2020 when citizens of India observed Janta Curfew, actress Sana Saeed was left devastated. The actress lost her ailing father and wouldn’t make it for the last rites as she got stuck in Los Angeles due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic. Rising to fame with her adorable role of young Anjali in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, she was in the states to fulfill her work commitment. Her father Abdul Ahad Saeed was an Urdu poet; survived by his wife, Sana and her 2 sisters.

Now slowly and steadily she is coming to terms said the actress as per reports in Times of India. Sana shared of praying whenever she missed her late father and made peace with the fact of being unable to attend the last rites of her father. Right after her father’s death, she also revealed of disconnecting herself from the rest of the world and only remaining available for her mother and sisters over phone calls. The actress also has plans to let her father’s work reach the world.

She was quoted saying by TOI, “I had shut myself from the world for a couple of days and was only taking calls from my family (mother and two sisters). I wanted to be with them and hug them. Every time I felt sad, I prayed. I understood that I had to stop being selfish. I couldn’t have expected him to keep living with the kind of pain he was in. I loved my dad so much that I can never get closure, but I have come to terms with the fact that I couldn’t be present for his final rites. I have made peace with the situation rather than fight it.”

Sana has plans to release her father’s poems in different languages in the near future. “I plan to translate his poems in different languages and release them. He was extremely passionate about poetry, and I feel responsible to ensure that his work reaches as many people as possible,” concluded the actress.
