Salman to turn Sardar for Son of Sardaar 2?
Ajay Devgn has a believe-it-or-not plan for the second part of Son Of Sardaar. Devgn has discussed with Salman Khan if he would like to play the Sardar's role.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star, who is very thick with the Golmaal star, has not turned down the proposal.

Devgn has also told Salman that he would like to direct the movie. Whether Devgn has envisaged a part for himself in it or not, is still not known.

A source says, "It will be a huge thing if Salman plays the central role now, but Devgn and Salman have definitely spoken about this very seriously."

Son of Sardaar
was a remake of Telugu comedy thriller film Maryada Ramanna directed by S S Rajamouli starring Sunil and Saloni Aswani in lead roles.

That Devgn wants to make the second part was known on
May 27 last year when he tweeted: "Sorry yaar, duniya bekar bina Son of Sardaar! Get ready for the sequel releasing Diwali 2017." The first part had Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead and was directed by Ashwni Dhir.

For those who've come in late, Son Of Sardaar did pretty well at the box-office but not before running into a big controversy:
Two weeks before Diwali, Devgn sent a notice to Yash Raj Films  through their lawyer at the Competition Commission of India. The notice accused YRF of monopolistic business practices and stated that they used "their dominant position in the Bollywood film market" to secure many high quality single-screens for their release Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which clashed at the box-office with Son Of Sardaar (November 13, 2012).
