After receiving lukewarm response from the audience for Dabangg 3, Salman Khan is now gearing up to bounce back at the box-office has the actor has some interesting line of films in the coming year. Apart from locking this year’s Eid, Salman has also booked 2020 Eid too as he will be bringing Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali respectively. Now we have heard that the 54-years-old actor is now set to do a yet-untitled film where he will be playing a cop alongside his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. According to the latest reports in Mumbai Mirror, Salman will play a Sikh cop who will be growing a beard for real and will sport a turban.

The yet-untitled film will be helmed by Abhiraj Minawala, who last directed Aayush Sharma’s debut film, LoveYatri. Interestingly, Aayush is also a part of this action drama where he plays a North Indian gangster. A source close to the development was quoted saying to the portal, “Salman has played cops before, but what excited him about this one is that he’s a Sikh cop. He will be growing a beard for real and wears a turban. He will undergo multiple look tests next week with his team.”

This is not the first time Salman has played a Sikh character, in 2008 film, Heroes, he played a Sikh army soldier. For this film, there’s no love-interest for Salman due to his no-sense character. “However, this time around, there won’t be an actress opposite Salman. His is an honest, upright, no-nonsense cop on a mission. However, the hunt is on for a leading lady for Aayush, a gangster on the run. He will sport a rugged look and will bulk up for the role since Salman and he have several confrontations," the source further added.


The portal further reports about the film going on the floors by May. “Salman has allotted bulk dates for the shoot and he is looking at a year-end or early 2021 release. It will wrap up by September following which he moves on to Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali," said the same source.


Salman has donned a cop’s role earlier in films like Patthar Ke Phool, Auzaar, Garv, Wanted, Dabangg franchise.
