Salman Khan Shuts Down Rumours Of Joining Politics
Superstar, Salman Khan put an end to all the speculations surrounding him entering into politics. Rumours were rife that the Madhya Pradesh Congress is trying to get Salman to campaign for the party in Indore, Madhya Pradesh as the actor was born there. However Salman took to twitter and put an end to this. He wrote, “Contrary to the rumours I am not contesting elections nor campaigning for any political party."

Congress spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi has stated that the party leaders were trying to get Salman to campaign from Indore and made it certain that he will be running for the Congress.  Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged many Bollywood celebs to help create awareness among citizens to cast their vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Modi had asked Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, among others to inspire the citizens to participate in the elections.


Salman obliged with PM’s request and did the needful by sharing a tweet in which he wrote, “We are a democracy and it is every Indian's right to vote. I urge every eligible Indian to exercise your right and participate in making the Government." The actor tries to stay away from politics, but let us inform you’ll that in 2009 Salman had participated in a road show for Congress’ Indore mayoral candidate Pankaj Sanghavi, who lost to a senior BJP leader Krishna Murari.

On the work front, Salman will soon be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat alongside Katrina Kaif.
