Actor Salman Khan visited Malaika Arora’s parents’ home on Thursday evening to offer his condolences following the death of her stepfather, Anil Mehta. Salman’s visit came a day after other members of his family attended Anil Mehta’s funeral, which took place on September 12. Mehta had passed away by alleged suicide on the morning of September 11. The cremation was held the following day. Salman, who shares a past connection with Malaika through his brother Arbaaz Khan, entered the residence under heavy security, with videos and photos of his visit being shared widely online by photographers waiting outside the house in Mumbai.
Malaika and Arbaaz Khan were married for several years before parting ways in 2017. Arbaaz was among the first to reach Malaika’s parents' house after learning of Anil Mehta’s death, as Malaika was out of town for work. Other members of the Khan family also visited the residence to pay their respects, including Salman’s father, Salim Khan, his mother, Salma Khan, his stepmother, Helen, and his siblings Alvira, Arpita, and Sohail Khan. The strong presence of the Khan family during this difficult time highlights the bond that still exists between them and Malaika despite her separation from Arbaaz.
In addition to Salman and his family, other well-known celebrities visited the residence to offer their condolences. These included actors Kriti Sanon, Karisma Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor, who is currently Malaika’s partner. Arjun and Malaika were spotted leaving the residence late at night. Arhaan Khan, Malaika and Arbaaz’s son, was also present, along with Nirvan Khan, the son of Sohail Khan. Earlier in the day, Gauri Khan, the wife of actor Shah Rukh Khan, had also arrived to support the grieving family.
The outpouring of support from family, friends, and the film industry reflects the love and respect people had for Anil Mehta and their solidarity with the family during this heartbreaking time.
