Salman Khan Is The Latest To Arrive At Veeru Devgan's Prayer Meet- SEE Pics
On Monday morning, in a sad state of events, Ajay Devgn's father, Veeru Devgan passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. We saw several B-Townies like the Bachchans, Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, Riteish Deshmukh, Salim Khan and many others paying a visit to the Devgan residence. The Devgan family shared an official statement soon after the news broke. The statement read as, "With profound Grief and sorrow, We regret to inform that Mr.Veeru Devgan, Veteran Action Master and Father of Actor Ajay Devgn passed away this Morning." Celebrities even expressed grief on social media.

The same evening a funeral was held at the Vile Parle crematorium which also saw many industry people paying their last respects. Then, on the second day, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Hrithik Roshan, David Dhawan met Ajay-Kajol to offer condolences. Today, a prayer meet was held and several faces from the film fraternity have been arriving to pay their respects. They include Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Tabu, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Kabir Bedi, Chunkey Pandey, Riteish Sidhwani, Vatsal Sheth, Kunal Khemu, Urmila Matondkar, Zayed Khan and Suniel Shetty to name a few.

Veeru Devgn's health had been falling since quite some time. Ajay had even called off a few interviews during the promotion of his film, De De Pyaar De.

Veeru Devgan is known for his impeccable work in films like Dilwale (1994), Himmatwala (1983), Shahenshaah (1988), to name just a few. He choreographed fight and action scenes for over 80 Hindi films. Also, he directed a film – Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999).
