Pooja Hegde is on roll! Basking in the success of Housefull 4, Pooja Hegde has been brought on board as the leading lady of Salman Khan in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Yes, you heard that right. It was in the beginning of this year, when Salman Khan had taken to Twitter to announce his next film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. He had divulged into details and had mentioned, the story will be written and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Film will be Directed by Farhad Samji and it will hit the screens on Eid 2021. 

Now the makers have now found their leading lady and it’s none other hand Pooja Hegde, who made her debut with Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo Daro. Confirming the same to Mumbai Mirror, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “Having worked with Pooja in Housefull 4, we felt she was a perfect fit for this film. She has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. A source close to the development revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “His lady love is a traditional small-town girl who is the polar opposite of Salman’s character. Pooja has played small town roles down South in films like Mukunda, and hence the makers found her apt for the role. There’s a beautiful mature love story between the two characters, and Pooja’s track acts as the catalyst to the plot.”

While congratulating Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar had also suggested Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’s sequel’s title. He had said that the sequel should be called Kabhi Eid Kabhi Christmas.
