Salman Found Guilty In The 2002 Hit-and-run Case

Salman Khan has been found guilty in the 2002 hit-and-run case. The star had pleaded not guilty saying his driver Ashok Singh was driving the Toyota Land Cruiser that mounted the pavement where the five men were sleeping outside a bakery in Bandra, Mumbai. The driver in question also went on testify in court that he was behind the wheel.

However, Additional Sessions Judge DW Deshpande has found Salman guilty of all charges against him in the case. The judge told the star that he was, in fact, driving the car under the influence of alcohol. He has been held responsible for the death of one of the men during the accident.

At the time of going online, Salman’s brothers Arbaaz and Sohail were seen stepping out of the court. They refused to comment on the ongoing case.

The quantum of punishment will be given tomorrow. Salman now has the right to appeal to the High Court.
