Saif Ali Khan wanted to tear Vikramaditya Motwane's script
Any actor would give an arm and a leg to work with Vikramaditya Motwane - after all, his CV includes not only a Cannes honour but he's also someone who made Sonakshi Sinha act (that requires some serious talent!)

So why did Saif Ali Khan opt out of the film, which eventually went to Shahid Kapoor (Shahid replaces Saif in Vikramaditya Motwane’s next, August 4)?

SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that the Nawab was horrified when the final draft of the script was given to him.

Said a source close to the unit, "All actors are seen playing themselves as the movie is a docu-drama on the industry itself. It revolved around Anurag (director Anurag Kashyap) wanting to make a film with Kareena, which leads to a fight between Saif and Anurag." Okay, then.

And what was Saif's reaction? "He felt angry to the point that he wanted to tear the script apart. He, of course, didn't do that but politely conveyed to Motwane that he wouldn't be able to do the film," added the source.

Now, the million dollar question is, where does Shahid fit in? "It isn't clear if it's the same script or has been changed. Something written for Saif can't fit for Shahid without too many alterations," the source said.
