Saif Ali Khan's Kaalakaandi SHOWS CANCELLED: 0 - 2 Per Cent Occupancy Only!
This is nothing but nadir. Saif Ali Khan starrer Kaalakaandi has been rejected by the audience outright. After collecting barely Rs 3.65 crore over the weekend, the film is now all but washed out.

SpotboyE.com has it that multiplexes have either cancelled / reduced shows. A source says, "It is not viable to run any movie if there is nobody coming to see it."

But is indeed nobody coming to see it? A source from PVR Juhu confirms, "We cancelled an evening show on Monday evening, followed by a morning show on Tuesday- and today, we barely have 2 per cent occupancy."

Adds the source, "Several multiplexes are reeling under the debacle of Kaalakaandi. It's all over for this film."

We are a tad surprised, because Saif had backed this film thick and fast and then we had Aamir Khan telling us that he hasn't laughed since a long time as much as he did after watching Kaalakaandi.

The failure of Kaalakaandi has unarguably come as a big blow. Nothing he touches sinces the longest time is setting the cash registers ringing.

Chef was Saif’s last release before Kaalakaandi and earned a mere Rs 6.5 crore. His other film in 2017, the expensive Rangoon, garnered just Rs 21 crore. Phantom which released in 2015 did not do great guns. 2014's Humshakals and Happy Ending went to the cleaners. Only Race 2 (2013) collected Rs 95 crore and was declared a semi-hit..

2013's Go Goa Gone and Bullet Raja are not worth a mention. Agent Vinod in 2012 was a disaster.

What a fine actor Saif is! It's a tragedy that he finds himself in such a position.

Saif's next is Baazaar, written and produced by Nikkhil Advani.
