Saif Ali Khan's Baazaar Shoot Stopped In Parel, BMC Objects
Saif Ali Khan, who is shooting for Gauravv K Chawla’s (a protégé of producer Nikkhil Advani) Baazaar in Mumbai since the past few days, ran into trouble of some sorts this morning.

Saif was shooting at Parel Xavier Ground and suddenly some BMC officials arrived to tell the film unit that they ought to take their vehicles out of the ground as they have not informed the BMC about it.

The shoot was immediately stopped.

A source says, "The matter became very serious as the film's makers had apparently not obtained the required permission to shoot."

The film also introduces Rohan Mehra, son of the late actor Vinod Mehra.

Besides Baazaar, Saif is looking also forward to Chef, which is being directed by Raja Krishna Menon. It is an official remake of American film Chef (2014). The film stars Padmapriya as the female lead, with an important part being also played by Shandan Roy Sanyal. The film's principal photography began in October 2016 and it was scheduled for a July 14, 2017worldwide release. The release date has been revised to October 6, 2017, to avoid conflict with Anurag Basu's Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos.

Not too long ago, he had told a section of the media:  "I'm truly excited about Chef, I've enjoyed every moment shooting for it. Raja has adapted the story beautifully for the Indian palate, underlining a relationship between a father and son. A film with such a universal appeal deserves the right release date. We, as a team, are doing our bit."

The Hindi adaptation of the film has been made keeping the Indian palate in mind and revolves around a father-son relationship.

Coming back to the spanner thrown in by the BMC in Parel, Saif had to drive back home. Come to think of it, did he have any other option?

Let's see if the makers of Baazaar obtain BMC's permission to continue the shoot in Parel, or change the venue.
